The most important thing is for you to know that God loves you and has a plan for your life.
If you have never received God's love by
asking Jesus to come into your life as Lord, please take just two minutes to
read this:
The Bible says,
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him, will not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16
But what keeps us from
experiencing God's love is the fact that we have sin in our lives. "For
all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23. Your sins keep you from receiving God's love
and the life he has for you.
The Bible says, "For the
wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our
Lord." Romans 6:23. So we are condemned to death because of our sins. But
God has made a way for us to have eternal life through Jesus Christ.
Romans 5:8 tells us, "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
So now if you believe that
Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins so you could be forgiven and that
he came back to life so you could invite him into your life, you can be saved.
1 John 1:9 says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."
You can ask God right now to forgive you and invite
Jesus Christ to come live inside you as your Lord and Savior. It's called
prayer and it's just like talking to someone.
You can even use this prayer as a guide to help you.
"God, I know that I am a sinner.
But I believe that you sent Jesus Christ, your only son to die in my place and
to forgive me of my sins. And now since you gave your life for me, I give you my
life and ask you to come and live inside of me."
If you meant that as you prayed, Jesus Christ has now entered into you heart and he will never leave you.
Romans 8:38 tells us, "Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
