About Pleasant Grove
Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church began in a brush arbor in 1881 with 12 members. Today, our membership is about 300 with an average attendance of 80 in Sunday School and 130 in worship services.
This church has thrived because of our commitment to Christ, to our church family, and to the community we serve. The church is active in many ministries, including youth groups from age 4 through senior high, Vacation Bible School, care-touch ministries, food pantry, senior citizen lunch each month, community crafters, fellowship suppers, and youth summer camps for elementary, junior and senior high. Music is a big part of our ministry and along with many talented individuals in our church, throughout the year we host concerts with nationally recognized gospel groups. Women of Faith meet once a month for bible study and fellowship and they have been involved in several ministries, such as making quilts for needy children, the Samaritan’s Purse Shoebox ministry, overseas and local ministries, and contribute to Habitat for Humanity. Our church has had an enthusiastic team in Relay for Life in Lincoln County for several years.
We are always on the move for Christ, seeking new ways of worship and ministry, improving our physical surroundings and developing new leaders.
If you are searching for a church where you can freely worship, learn more about the Word, and experience great fellowship among believers, Pleasant Grove will welcome you into our family.
